I feel sooooo dumb.... I just killed one of Matilda's babies by catching her head when I closed the cage door. She suffocated and was dead a few minutes later when Ben noticed.

This was a Fern cage by the way...

how tragic! I don't know what a "fern cage" is, but is there anything you can do to try to make this sort of accident not happen again?

Actually I copied this from somewhere else, the Fern cage bit wasn't supposed to be there.

I rather suspect that having done this once, I will be much more careful from now on...
