Note to self: even if falling over at night, put out the next day's clothes before going to bed. (I didn't do this last night, and my room looks like a disaster area, thanks to changing my mind about what to wear, and then tearing through a dresser trying to find my longjohns, which in fact were not in my room...)

Also: Trader Joe's soy-fortified oatmeal is yummy, for instant stuff. I add some raisins and salt. The soy means that there's enough protein that the meal sticks with me until lunch time. I need to eat the oatmeal less than half an hour after making it, though.

Anyway. So, I accomplished something today! I winnowed out the records I need, so I have a nice big dataset to play with. I started out by writing a little program with dummy data included so I could figure out RETAIN better. Got Sally's or Jin's help when I got stuck, and... voila! It took me about 4 hours total.

We had our weekly meeting, and I now know just how complicated things can get with the analyses. But everyone treats each other respectfully, and work gets done, grants get approved, publications go out... wow. This seems like a very functional group of people. Nice change from Bentley, anyway.

I am very very tired and very very happy that [livejournal.com profile] deguspice is picking me up in Medford, so I don't have to deal with the train today.
