quietannThis morning, a garter snake and I scared each other. He was sunning himself in the driveway, and I was getting the paper. He was about 2 1/2 to 3 feet long, not terribly fat. I loved the way he moved -- the definition of "sinuous".
This may explain some of the odd animal droppings I have been finding in the yard... They look sort of like cat poop, but have a lot of hair in them, and are less dense. It also probably explains the chipmunk tail I found, too :(
