job follow-up
Dec. 15th, 2003 01:36 pmDon't get too excited, 'cause I don't have the contract in my anxious little hands just yet :)
It's the job with the psychiatrist at Brigham and Women's in Boston. She called this afternoon to give me contact info for the HR person (who is out of town until Wednesday, so I am going to have to try to squeeze in a visit to him before I leave on Thursday...) I'd start January 5.
Apparently she had some very good feedback from my references, and she and my doctoral advisor talked on the phone for over an hour on Thursday. Now these are both VERY busy ladies -- the kind who are hard pressed to squeeze in a 10 minute appointment -- so that says something.
The Tufts job BTW is not entirely out of the question. The worst thing that could happen to me is that I'd have to choose between the two. But Dr. Chang is much mroe enthusiastic about me, so far.
