For future reference: if I am getting pissy about minor social slights, or otherwise less rational than usual, it is entirely acceptable to ask me when my period is due. PMS is a reality for me, as I have regretfully come to acknowledge. It doesn't explain everything, but I *do* seem to have regular monthly outbreaks of "nobody loves me, everybody hates me, I'm gonna go eat worms" about one week before my period.

LOL... I know what you mean.
Remember my cranky "un-friending" post the day before yesterday?
Got my period yesterday.
*blush*

I wonder if there's some sort of user icon for that.

Well, somebody's going to have to design one, dammit, but not me because I am talentless and no one loves me boo hoo....

Oh whoops. Did I say that? Must be the hormones talking.

Is there a universal identifier for PMS?

Stop It, Jennifer!

Me too. Mostly today, but I can still count it as yesterday.

Grr- yeah, me too. I think yesterday's bout of "I'm an unmotivated slug and wasting my life and going to die a pauper" was partly PMS and partly weather/seasonal defective disorder. Today, things seem much better.
How about a big red "splat"? Or a Hothead Paisan with axe?

Right, so, what's my excuse/explanation then? (Can't be PMS because (1) the feeling hits irregularly and not necessarily monthly and (2) wrong gender. :-)

But guys ALWAYS have PMS! *snork*
...dunno, actually. Check the timing on it and see if it's cyclical in some way, though. Things can get done about that. :-)

PMS sucks.

I turn into a raving bitchy female at PMS time. I pick fights, whine, complain, and feel down. Why is life so horrible. Then serious bleeding starts (yeah) and I am better. Life is good again. Why at almost 40 is this so difficult?

I feel for you. bethr is our mutual friend so I happened to see your rant.
