[livejournal.com profile] lyonesse asked for baby rat photos...

9 day old babies -- with only 6 in the litter, they are very chubby.

Emanies babies

Their mama Emanie:

1 day old babies. There are 11, though the one at the bottom right is probably not going to make it... I have no idea where mama was hiding them all; she never got that big!

Evening Storms babies

The waitlist is growing very slowly; I should have enough adopters for the two current litters and possibly another one.

I just love having babies around; even if I tried to get out of rat breeding entirely, I'd probably breed two litters a year just for me...

I hope you'll be able to get some/breed some soon! I completely understand why rat breeding and an infant are incompatible, though...

I did finally place some pairs together, for one girl my cut off date was this month for breeding her so it was now or never. Not sure if any will take, but if they do it'll be decent timing, work generally calms down from insane to just busyish after the holidays. Busy I can manage, insane.. not so much.

It helps now that Logan is three months old and we're now "adjusted" (as much as you can be) to being parents and all the new routines that come with it. There's still crazy times, but I got those from the pets anyways, so that's nothing new. ;)
