rat pusher
Sep. 29th, 2007 05:42 pmSo... I took 10 rats west today, to meet a breeder at a rest stop on the New York Thruway. The stop (New Baltimore) gets traffic from both directions, so it's a good place to meet... I always feel like a pusher when I'm taking rats over to the parking lot for the other direction, though.
There was a little bit of drama beforehand; this breeder was getting rats for herself and another breeder, and the second one dropped off the face of the planet. This was due to two things: 1. stupid yahoo mail dumping email from OTHER YAHOO accounts into the spam filter and me not realizing it and 2. the other breeder's mother died on Sunday or Monday, so clearly she was distracted. Through several phone calls to various relatives and finally to her husband, we confirmed that she did, in fact, want the rats. That was at 10 p.m. last night. Phew!
Seven hours there and back, and I am exhausted. We have an invite tonight but I may bail because I simply cannot stay awake through another thing.
