not graduating yet, sigh

So I got an email from the HSPH Registrar today, saying that I don't have enough ordinal (graded) credits to graduate. I need 60, and I have... 58.75! ARGH!!!

The only way I have figured out to deal with this is to take a summer class. One of my favorite professors is teaching a 3 week class starting July 1, though it's at 8:30 a.m. five days a week. eep! There are two other classes I could take if this one doesn't work out.

I am tired of school.

That was exactly my nightmare when I graduated from college (BA). And it came true, almost, because they sent me a mailgram on friday evening (after Rutgers administrative offices were closed) saying don't come to graduation next wednesday, you don't have enough credits. Turned out the instructor for the class I couldn't possibly flunk (I had a B+ average going into the final, and the grading would have given me a D if I didn't take the final) went on sabbatical, and I'd supposedly graduate in 6 months when he returned and handed in the grades for everyone in his class. THe grades were sitting on his desk, which we found out when the 3 graduating seniors in his class almost broke down the door to his office Monday morning. We graduated on wednesday.

oh, that is obnoxious! You know, my mom died during the last week of my last semester at Bentley, and I couldn't come back until a week after that, at the end of finals, and grades were due the following Monday. I was a complete mess as you may remember, but I made sure that all the graduating seniors' grades got turned in on time.
