We are home from our vacation. Sleeeepy now, will have more to say in the morning beyond this:

1. Spending the last 2 1/2 days or so south of London, much of it with spinrabbit and family, was wonderful. If anyone knows her (and Nico and Isabel) and will be near London, please go visit them!

2. It started to rain just as we were leaving London today!

3. Thanks to cogitationitis's thoughtfulness, I came home to fed critters, and she'd returned the 17 baby and 2 mama rats so I got clobbered by Teh Cute :)

They're right around the corner from the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and if your kink leans towards old cars, they're near Goodwood.

Oh, you should! You have plenty of time to plan; they will be there until the end of next June or mid-July, because that's when Isabel's schoolyear ends.

It's a really beautiful area, in the "pastoral" sense. And we saw a lot of motorcyclists (more than a few squids) when we were out and about.

I'm glad you had a good trip and are now safely home. I really enjoyed hearing about it as you were underway. I'm amazed you found the time. Somehow I've always wanted to see Iceland. There are too many places to see and not enough time or money to realize my ambitions...
