quietannSo I finally made it to see a podiatrist about the huge wart on the ball of my left foot. First of all, he says it is a "cluster wart" -- probably hundreds of warts. Second, because it has not responded to any of the standard treatments (burning, freezing, acid plasters, even duct tape!), he's having me treat it with formaldehyde for 3 weeks. It's a last-resort treatment, because it's highly toxic, but he says he's seen funny things happen with it.
If that doesn't work, I either just live with it, or have surgery, which would result in a ~2 inch diameter divot in the bottom of my foot, that probably would heal fine *eventually*. ARgh.
