I did very little for much of the day. I accomplished some work stuff but not enough for me not to take a sick day.

Very late in the afternoon, I took a nap using deguspice's lap as a pillow. When I woke up, I actually felt human. I did, in fact, change the catboxes and clean the three grubbiest rat cages. Part of the latter process was dumping 6 baby boys in with 2 big boys, a process that always makes me jittery, because the big guys are, well, big. But these two are pretty mellow, and within an hour they had discovered that the babies make good pillows, and the babies had discovered that the big guys, while lacking a milk bar, are still big and warm. Much adorable snuggliness has ensued.

So whatever knocked me out for ~24 hours seems to have passed. I had no symptoms except extreme fatigue and some body aches. No fever, no digestive issues, no cough etc.

Glad you are feeling better. On a different note - do you think you will be able to move the boy babies in with the big boys permanently? Sounded awfully cute!

They are all integrated peacefully. This morning, everyone but one of the big boys (Tweak, who was looking for food) were piled in the basket asleep. Usually I know within a hour whether it's going to work or not. I use my oldest and most peaceful big boys, the ones who are past the testosterone surge of adolescence and young adulthood. The other big boy, Kobe, had a father who *loved* all babies throughout his life, so I think there's a genetic behavioral factor here too.

Of course, I also have 5 rats right now who *will not* be integrated with other rats. 5 solitary rats, which isn't good for them, but they are not going to cooperate with me.
