So, Livana and Amarisa both died as I was expecting. So far (crosses fingers) no one new is sick.

deguspice took a body and two sick rats to the vet for me (because I was getting therapy, see below) and the vet will call me with necropsy results. He also gave us a different antibiotic to try. I am not feeling particularly hopeful and still find myself getting teary-eyed at random moments but it's not as bad as last night was.

So. Getting therapy. I met

lyonesse and Elf-her-Elf and

goddessfarmer and

chocorua at Stjarni's new home. Ponies are very good for being big and warm while one's crying all over them. Which I did; I am not even sure I said hello before I had an arm thrown over Stjarni and was weeping into his side. He is big and furry and very comforting. I helped groom him and quite unexpectedly got to ride him a little (

lyonesse let us all ride him, except for

chocorua who had left, or she would have had him up on Stjarni, too.) This meant I got to experience the tolt -- a very smooth four-beat gait. That was nice, to be able to just sit on him while he moved quite fast, after Minnie's very rough trot. (One posts to Minnie's trot because it would be agony on the crotch if one tried to sit it.)

After that I came home and am now contemplating whether I really feel up to being social tonight. We will see.
