Nov. 8th, 2006 06:55 pmI am cautiously optimistic about the political situation now. To some degree, the Dems have a no-win situation here, but I hope they can get through it. Last night reminded me of watching Clinton win in 1992; I was with friends and we were joyful, teary-eyed, ecstatic.
Snark OTD: Because of how Andover does its voting, I can get quick glances of party affiliations by street in my election district. Most voters here seem to be unaffiliated, but there are a few more registered Democrats than registered Republicans. There's a new subdivision in a cul-de-sac down the street from us that is 7 or 8 ostentatiously ugly, expensive ($1M plus) McMansions. Most of the voters there are registered Republicans, which makes me think even more evidence that they have no taste!
