commuting aftermath

quietannMy car didn't get booted, and it didn't run out of gas even though I accidentally drive right past the first gas station I came to, and the next was a couple of miles later.
I have a lovely, sore bruise on my right hip, but my professor wasn't mad about my being late.
And the Boston Metro article turned out to be a summary of census data about counties (including Norfolk COunty in MA) where over half the residents leave the county to get to their jobs, and over half the jobs in the county are filled by people who don't live there. A very odd, and very American, phenomenon. After my commuting experience, I was hoping for an expose' on the MBTA's inefficiencies...
