pies

I brought an apple pie to goddessfarmer and chocorua's party last night. It *vanished* in 10 minutes.

So this means it's pie season. Pies are labor-intensive; I make the crust from scratch, and there's preparing the filling, keeping an eye on them while they're baking, etc. But I love watching the joy a good piece of pie will bring someone.

For next weekend's party, I will make another apple pie or two, and a pumpkin pie. My "secret ingredient" is maple syrup.
