One of the things about it that I found especially creepy is that it is set in Orange County, and seeing the 405 freeway rotoscoped was just weird. Especially since a major scene is set about 5 miles from where I lived in Irvine, so *everything* was just as it was when I was there... but rotoscoped.

Ditto the run-down tract home where the main character lives. I know houses like that all over the place out there...

Wow. I'm not sure if a rotoscoped 405 makes me want to see this movie more now, or not at all. (-:

Heh. I never lived in Orange County, but the tract housing in Marin County when I lived there (mumble) years ago was also quite similar, and I was also having some of those "Aaaugh!" moments.
