May. 16th, 2002 01:10 pmThe rats are (mostly) doing fine. I lost one more baby yesterday, from Wisteria's litter, and the one from Silly Sister's litter that I thought was dead, was. So there are 27 baby rats now. And the remaining 5 baby mice. The baby mice still don't have their eyes open, but if one tries to hold them, they try to jump out of one's hands. The baby rats, OTOH, are a bunch of little fat piglets who are quite happy to sleep in one's hands, as long as they have some littermates with them. Rats are like this -- they just want to be with each other all the time, and they have no sense of or need for personal space at all.
