morning time
Feb. 24th, 2006 11:11 amI saw JBVB on the train this morning. That was nice, though he was gruff as usual. Actually, he may have been a bit more gruff than usual, given the huge numbers of not-very-quiet children on the train.
Relatedly, I would like to know what IDIOT decided that the matinees of the Incredibles on Ice show at the TD Banknorth Garden should end at the HEIGHT of rush hour, when there isn't even enough room in North Station for the regular commuters. And some families taking the commuter rail at rush hour are VERY demanding about the whole family sitting together -- on trains where there aren't enough seats for the regular commuters. A lot of us will be very happy next week, when all the kids are back in school.
(For the non-Boston folk: the TD Banknorth Garden is a large arena with an ice rink. It's where the Boston Bruins and the Celtics play. It is built more or less right on top of North Station, which handles about 30,000 commuters per day. One cannot get into the Garden without going through North Station, which has no waiting area per se, and seems acoustically designed to maximize the reverb of screaming toddlers. This causes much crankiness, although occasionally it's amusing, as when Madonna did a show at the Garden a few years back, and North Station was full of Madonna wannabees.)
I could get really cranky about all the social stuff we aren't invited to this weekend. ("It's a busy social weekend? That's news to me!") But I won't. Rather, I will say that Ben and I are 95% sure that we will be having an *open* Suspects party sometime in May, and I just hope that we don't end up scheduling it on top of some Very Important private invite thing that we don't know about, because that would utterly suck.
