Myrtle just had her final, one-way trip to the vet. It was time, for an old lady cat who had used up all her extra lives.

Oh, honey. I'm so sorry. When the vet came to my parents house to help my wonderful dog out of her misery, the man who was my boyfriend then said "Look, while she was alive, you couldn't do anything for her, no matter how hard you tried. But now, you can think of her in her prime, leaping into lakes, chasing squirrels through the woods, exuberantly loving everyone she comes across, and you can keep her in her best times, and you can help her that way." It really helped, I married him six years later, and now i tell you the same thing.
