shopped, accomplished, OK
Oct. 19th, 2005 10:38 pmSo... I shopped. I didn't have a lot of time, so I just bought stuff after trying it on, and can return what I don't use later.
Observation: I am in between petite sizes and womens sizes, mostly. Most 14P's fit me (and regular 14s do not). But not Ann Taylor Loft's, which seem very oriented towards junior career wear and hence cannot accomodate my upper arms of middle-aged-lady size.
So... dark-brown-and-whatever it will be. I now have a jacket (from Filenes) or a nice cardigan style sweater with a tie (from Macys). I will probably do the latter, because it's a bit more stylish and less formal, and this *is* an academic job. Just for annoyance, the dark brown pants I bought in the spring are actually a bit loose.
Phew.
