brief update

Ben and I are in Victoria, which is, as I remember from childhood, beautiful. It's a lot bigger, though, and there are some truly atrocious waterfront hotels and condo complexes.

The weather is lovely today, so later on we will be venturing out to Butchart Gardens for tea and garden-walking. We are going by public transit, primarily to avoid having to make our schedule conform with that of a tour bus.

Unfortunately, the cold I caught in San Diego is still with me, and I feel like cr*p after about 4 to 5 hours of being awake. A good reason to not tie ourselves to a tour...

I went shopping yesterday. Primary find was stuff from Lush, and a lovely kit from the local wool shop.

Victoria's a cool town. By coincidence when we were there in '99 I had a nasty cold too; hope you feel better soon.
