quietannwoke up earlier than I wanted to, because my dad forgot to tell me that construction workers arrive and start banging on the house next door at 7 a.m. But I got just enough sleep, so...
Today's plan is simple. My brother will arrive shortly (and I wish someone had told me, because I could have gone to the airport to get him). I'll say "hi" and give him a hug (have I ever told y'all that I have the World's Coolest Brother?) I'll congratulate him on his new job, and ask him how difficult it was to send a fax from Peru. (He got the offer by email while he was there, and had to sign and accept a hard copy and fax it back to Alaska.) He'll now be teaching at the same school as his fiancee, which will make their lives easier. I can tease him about wedding prep, or just ask if Victoria is doing all that girly stuff :)
Then I will drive into downtown PB, walk over to the yarn shop to visit the ladies there (and hopefully not buy too much!), and walk back to one of the markets and buy ingredients for cold peanut noodle salad for the picnic tomorrow. (High school reunion picnic... I missed the big reunion last year, but since so many people have stayed in the San Diego area, it's not too difficult to get something together.) I am contemplating whether I should be nice and buy some chicken and/or tofu for people to add to the noodles if they want.
