We're making progress on getting things ready. The mattress will sit on a platform bed I made a while. The bed has a 4x8' sheet of plywood for a top. The new mattress is a bit wider (54"), so I got two more sheets of plywood and had them cut to 54". One of the new sheets of plywood now bolted to the existing plywood. But since the previous mattress was only 6' long, the last 2' feet have been used as an end table and has accumlated a lot of stuff over the past 11 years. So I'm in the process of cleaning up the pile of stuff to make room for the other sheet of plywood.
Some of it was random stuff that I took out of my pockets at night, some of it was books I was reading, some of it was stuff I set aside for some reason or another (such as receipts that I still need to hold on to). Now I just need to figure out where to put it.
It's a good thing we have a nice fancy new mattress, after leaning over the platform bed for a while, my back is getting sore.
