raspberries are coming...

As of this morning, I have at least a thousand raspberries ripening, and I should be able to start picking this weekend. (Probably a couple thousand raspberries, by the time the season ends; the fall-bearers haven't flowered yet...) The wild black ones are back, in full force.

Top priority garden job in the next few days is to get bird netting set up so I get to eat at least a few of them...

You know, Whuffle is learning to can things. She's done well with jams so far. I'm sure she'd love the practice if you don't have an immediate use for all those berries...
