deguspice surprises me!

His parents had offered to buy us a new stove as a wedding present. We finally picked one out (it took a while, because we wanted a free-standing electric stove with a closed cooktop and all the controls on the *front* of the stove. Gas stoves are made with the controls that way, but not many electric stoves are...)

I was aware that the stove would be arriving "sometime", but somehow deguspice arranged for it to appear like magic yesterday, without me suspecting anything at all. He was quite pleased with himself :) And he mouseproofed it really well (one of the problems with the old stove -- besides that it was just old -- was that mice had been living in it. See here. I couldn't use the oven without making the entire house smell like burning mouse poop.)

So now I am going to go make a pie.

ok, that is quite possibly the cutest mouse picture that i have ever seen :)

my brother's old apartment had mice living in the stove too. they would sometimes pop up underneath the burner and he had to watch out before turning it on!

how's everything else going over there?

That was a very cheeky little mouse. Ben heard him munching on a noodle, opened the stove and saw him, went upstairs, got his camera, opened the stove again and took a picture, and the little guy *refused* to be scared or run away!

BTW would you like a baby girl dumbo ("dumbette") rat? I have one "left over" from my most recent litters...

so this is a rat from the last litters? Which one? I was looking at the website and didn't see one listed as still around and available. What's her personality like?
