I am currently working on a vest in Noro Iro yarn (a heavy silk-wool blend). It is going very fast and is much easier than it looks. The casting off/casting on stitches in mid-row had me flummoxed until I looked up how to do this in another book. The image below shows the model from the pattern book; my vest is in a lovely blue-green-grey-brown colorway ordered at a discount from http://www.littleknits.com/index.php.

MMM, yummy idea. I just picked up some new crochet pattern books, as the new yarns are too interesting to ignore anymore. Hoping to start a sweater while camping. Now I'm even more inspired.

The new yarns are great -- and expensive! I strongly recommend going to a yarn store and "feeling out" what you want, but if you need a lot of it, order online! littleknits.com runs good specials; another favorite is http://www.woolneedlework.com ... their site is a mess, but the prices are dicounted and they are Canadian, so you get the exchange rate in your favor also.

I still buy all my pattern books and supplies at yarn stores.
