OK, after a late start, I took advantage of the *lovely* weather to take a bunch of rat cages (sans rats) outside to hose down and dry in the sun. And Ben and I put the deer fence around the little tree, so hopefully it will someday be a big tree, with lots of cherries :) Right now, it's about 3-4 feet tall and 1/2 inch in diameter, with 2 branches at the top. It's hard to imagine it ever being a big tree, but I have been assured that if I take good care of it, someday it will be :) (It won't be that big; it's supposed to top out at 10 to 12 feet and be somewhat bushy, like this. I might get a few cherries from it next year.)

And... I am bushed! Next on the agenda: shower and nap, not necessarily in that order.
