There was just a tremendous amount of growling at my feet. Turns out that Spook had clawed at Myrtle, and got his claws stuck in her tail! He was backing up trying to get them loose, and thus dragging her by her tail across the floor with him. And man, for a cat that weighs about 5 pounds, Myrtle has a BIG growl. When I saw what was happenning, I said Spook's name, and he stopped backing up and moved forward a step, hence disengaging his claws from a VERY pissed off Myrtle. No permanent harm done, but now I have two cats sitting here pretending that either Nothing Happenned or It Was Intentional.

Date: 2005-04-07 05:21 pm (UTC)I propose we try an experiment, with controls. We'd need three questions, two on controversial subjects. You post the innocuous one and see if you get flamed. I post a controversial one, in your words and see if I get flamed. I post a controversial one in my own words and see if I get flamed. (Or it might be better to have two separate people posting. Not sure.) We wouldn't have enough data to be statistically valid, and it's more of an OFAT than a DOE (you said you're a statistician, right?) but the results could be interesting.
