cats at Tufts
Feb. 18th, 2005 12:34 pmFirst, though, there has been a cat or cat with kittens living outside my office for the past several months. There's a big boxy building where HVAC vents out there, so it stays warm, and there are lots of nooks and crannies to hide in. I've seen a cat only once -- it was quite adeptly going up and down the fire escape, possibly hunting pigeons. However, I have *heard* the cat (or cats) many, many times; a lot of times it's sounded like a little kitten mewing.
Now Tufts-Boston has the usual crew of maintenance guys -- big, tough, burly guys, the sort one would think of as unsentimental. But they have adopted the cat(s) as a cause, and have managed to get them out of their home. The cat(s) will be rehabbed and adopted out. The guys are very proud of themselves :)
