Ben picks it up on Tuesday. We got a reasonable price, and we're happy.

Out of curiousity, I don't suppose it was possible for test drives of either vehicle to involve hooking up the trailer with a car on it and seeing how well it actually did pulling some weight? If not, I suggest finding out as soon as possible to be sure of being able to cancel the deal within the MA lemon law timeframe.

The rated towing capacity for the Tundra is several thousand pounds above what Ben will probably ever need (Lotuses are very lightweight)

Ben will have a towing need shortly (getting the Elite back from the mechanic) so he'll have a chanche to try it soon.

The most I typically will be towing is 3,500lbs. The most I'll ever tow is 5,000 lbs (which is fortunate because the trailer ball for my trailer is rated for 5,000 lbs, but I can replace the ball if I need to tow a larger trailer). The truck is rated for 7,100lbs or twice what I typically will be towing.

The rated horsepower of the truck is equal to my late wagon. The torque is 5 ft/lbs less. So I don't foresee any problems with towing.
