So, earlier today I went to the bathroom, and when I stood up after finishing, a couple of small objects fell to the floor. I picked them up, and they looked like 2 batteries for my insulin pump. But the pump batteries were just fine...

I just went to the bathroom again, and this time, when I went to pull up my tights, there was something roughly the shape and size of a tube of lipstick in the left butt area. I fished it out... and found the bottom of the laser pointer Ben gave me recently, which I wear on my work lanyard. And the batteries were not there...

I have reassembled the thing, but one battery is missing.

Didn't anyone ever tell you that you are an artificial life form, Ann? That's not really insulin you're pumping into yourself, it's that special new power source for which you are the only robot to use, being a prototype and all.

I'd be worried about the location of that last battery!

It's possible the laser pointer has some AI, and fancied a "closer" relationship with you.

Reminds me of the infamous "Mouse Ball" incident when I was in college. What shocked us all, was after the whole affair, he put the ball back in his mouse, and continued to use it! Me, I wouldda burned the damn thing.
