If the file that I put in each folder so you can take over my data analysis is called README.TXT, isn't that a hint that if you read the file, you might not have to ask me as many stupid questions?
Unix sorts files by ASCII values, so upper case letters come first. For case insensitive filesystem, AAREADME.TXT is commonly used to "float" the file to the top of the listing.
