made myself feel better...

So my idea to help chhotii move boxes at her new house turned into something even better: getting fed spaghetti with homemade sauce and veggies and moving boxes with several other people! It was fun and (not surprisingly) completely suburban. It also brings home the point, once again, that some of my favorite people live within 10 miles of where I live.

The second thing was, I went out this morning to see if any of my raspberries were ripe. I have been picking one to four ripe ones per day for the past 2 weeks. Today, I had 18! A whole handful of the most delicious berries one can imagine, freshly picked and coated with raindrops :)

Fresh raspberries straight from the bramble are the best, especially warm from the sun. Mine aren't producing yet (I think I need to amend their soil a bit more and water them better), but I have hopes for next year.
