Home from a long day out...

deguspice and I went to a birthday party for a very special girl who will be 18 on Monday; we were the only grown-up adults who showed up... but that was fine, because it gave us 5 more or less uninterrupted hours with

roozle who hosted the party and is one of my permanent crushes. She is amazing without being so super-human that one just feels envy. In fact, she's very human, with quirks and foibles and silliness. And she likes fabric and liked the fabric porn (full-color catalogs from Keepsake Quilting and Hancocks of Paducah) we brought to her.

We went on to a housewarming that was also very nice (although a bit too noisy; thanks to the hostess for suggesting the den upstairs as quiet space to have a chat and cuddle with
