more knitting
Aug. 13th, 2004 11:28 amOK, I've got how to knit and purl in the same row figured out -- but I wish someone had told me that the numbwer of stitches per row in double ribbing has to be divisible by 4! And 50 is not divisible by 4!
(Question: should I rip it out yet again -- this would be the fourth time -- or just snip the yarn and start over?)

Date: 2004-08-13 09:31 am (UTC)Depending on the yarn, rip it out or not. Yarn does get less "springy" if ripped out multiple times, and fuzzy yarn just doesn't rip out nicely. However, tossing out something because of a mistake just seems wrong.

I did just cut and start over, but the piece of yarn from the first bit is pretty long, so I don't want to toss it. However, the yarn is a wool/mohair/acrylic blend, so it's a bit fuzzy. Not as fuzzy as normal mohair, but still...

appropriate thing (knit or purl).
