Well, at this point they eat a bit more, and are a lot less active. But apparently one can put these guys on a near-starvation diet and they still get fat...
It's probably a recessive genetic trait called "Zucker Fa". These rats are deficient in leptin, so they don't get signals to stop eating. They also have a very slow metabolism...
