The Brits think of everything...

They have a National Fruit Collection at Brogdale Estate in Kent with over 2000 varieties of apple trees.

I'm pretty sure there's something like that here, too...it has to do with all edible apples being hybrids, I think.

I'll see if I can find a reference...
