foot whine

so I have a divot in my foot now. My podiatrist removed a cluster of *several hundred* warts from the ball of my left foot. This is after trying several other, less severe treatments. All I will say about the procedure is that getting a shot of local anesthetic in one's foot is *painful*, and that the smell of burning flesh isn't one I want to experience again any time soon (he cauterized all the blood vessels that were cut).

I'm tired, and cranky, and my foot hurts a little (but not too bad, thanks to Tylenol #3). And I managed to open up the wound and leave a trail of blood spots on the stairs and into my room and the upstairs bathroom. deguspice kindly cleaned them up. He's being very nice to me even though I am not being very nice to him. That will come later ;)

feh. I am going to sleep for a bit.

I had that done once when I was 19. It ranks way above giving birth on the pain scale. I hope you're not going to have to go back in to have further trimming done followed by Betadine soaks like I did. *shudder*

actually, there isn't a lot of pain; it's more that I have to hold my foot in an awkward position in order to walk. Betadine soaks haven't been mentioned... ouch!

Oh my god, I hope so very much that I don't have to do this for the cluster of warts on the ball of my left foot (weird coincidence there). The acid was bad enough.

you don't want this. seriously. It is the next morning, and oh, ow! The codeine lasts just about 4 hours (which is exactly the spacing between doses) but... ow.
