This is scary! My dad's in section 1247 (right by the coast) so he's safe. My cousins are in 1229 and 1250, so they are OK so far. My brother's best friend from high school Geoff and his family (section 1190) had to evacuate.

For those of you with different priorities, Legoland is in Carlsbad, CA (which I think is zone 1127 on the map). It's in a square with green stripes which is "Re-opened areas".

From the Legoland website:

"LEGOLAND California will not open for business today out of respect and consideration for the firefighters as well as victims of the many fires currently burning in San Diego County.

We are saddened by this situation that affects so much of California at this time and our thoughts and prayers go out to those families affected by the fires.

LEGOLAND California will open for business Thursday as usual pending further developments in the news."

oh yeah. but it sounds like things are a little bit better today, at least in San Diego. Orange County's getting it bad, now.
