The verdict: "possible" hairline fracture of the pelvis (left ischium, I think), or a deep bone bruise. No need for differential diagnosis as the treatment is the same: ibuprofen, heat, and physical therapy.
That's what I am thinking about the riding part. And Minnie-mare needs to be worked *at the walk only* starting next week for a couple of weeks... and neither her owner or her owner's daughter are the slightest bit interested, because they have nice eventing horses they can "do stuff with," rather than a slightly silly elderly TB mare with soundness issues. So I am a lucky girl!
