so what is it that makes SOOOO many people born in the late fall and early winter? Especially people who were born in the Northeast? Is it really true that it was so cold and dark that your parents got extra cozy one January-February-March night, and 9 1/2 months later you showed up?

I think it's just chance that I was born at the end of November, regardless of the usual popular theories. I was a first child, and my mom says they'd been trying for a little while. Luck of the draw, I think.

I know; my original question was rather silly :) But it seems like there are an awful lot of birthdays happenning right about now.

As for me, my parents tried for about 5 or 6 years, so my being born at all was a bit random.

Ya got me...I was born in the dog days of summer. I'm sure my mom just LOVED being heavily pregnant with me in the DC area in July and August! Conversely, my brother was born in early February. Guess Mom learned her lesson with me. :)
