riding log
May. 25th, 2007 03:24 pmGuiness was back to his usual good self today. It is freaking hot, though, so our lesson was in the indoor ring and mainly spent at the walk and a slow sitting trot. All was ridden without stirrups until the very end, when we got in a little cantering. I could probably have done the canter without stirrups, but didn't want to press my luck. Tina says I have a very good seat :)
Afterwards we walked the horses back to the barn and sponged them off with cool water. Guiness *loved* having his face sponged. One of the barn managers complimented me on how well I work with him. In the process, she called me a "good rider." Who, meeee???? Guiness is just so sensitive and responsive that he makes things easy.
Still working out the summer lessons. Wish I could just stay put and ride Guiness all summer...
