I was fighting a sore throat all weekend, and now I have succumbed. I have lots of catching up to do, but I want to go to work tomorrow, so resting and sleeping will take priority.
Ben deserved kudos for dealing with what we found in our driveway when we came home last night:

This is about a foot of packed snow with a one or two inch crust of ice on top. Normally, our nice neighbor from across the street, who has a very long driveway, clears our short driveway for us if he notices we have not done it yet. He has a cute little toy tractor with all kinds of attachments, and we just have shovels. I think he clears our driveway for us because he enjoys playing with the toy :) But he hasn't even cleared his own driveway yet, so he's either out of town or truly snowed in.
We parked across the street in the other neighbor's driveway, which had been plowed (no one is living at that house; the neighbor is working in Central MA and living out there, and keeps putting his house on the market at a too-high price, so it's been mostly vacant for the past couple of years.) Then Ben fought a heroic battle with not enough help from me (I was having blood glucose issues), making space so I could force the truck into our driveway. We like high clearance vehicles! It's kind of fun to stop the truck by hitting a snow berm, though it took Ben a few times to get across the message that no, I really didn't need to use the brakes. He also shoveled a walk from the truck to the carport. My car is snowed in for the forseeable future.
