Well, the snow accumulation expected from the upcoming storm has been shifted downward. Looking at the radar, the storm is moving very slowly and has not yet reached CT or eastern NY. I am still likely to work from home tomorrow, because even if we only get a little bit of snow, ice on top of that means driving will not be safe.

OTOH, we could be where Ben's parents live, the "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont, where temperatures are about 10 to 15 degrees lower and 1 to 2 FEET of snow is predicted. Sophie the Very Large Dog will be happy, but not Ben's parents.

BTW... thanks to a rat-related event in Florida in May, I will be away for nearly the entire visit of Sophie the Very Large Dog. I am happy about this, because I am not fond of dogs, but dog-loving friends should do what they can to help Ben out. Sophie is friendly and likes other dogs; she's just huge and not terribly well-trained.

OTOH Ben's parents will be visiting in late March and we'll have custody of Sophie while they are here.

I chose the "Spook" userpic because he really does look like he'd be fine in snow. His fur is water-repellant and he even has fur between his toes. But the one or two times he's encountered snow, he's not liked it one bit.
