success!

koshmom came over to get dirt (the physical kind, not gossip!) and wanted to meet Naku. So we went out to the cat space, and after a little bit of cajoling... she came out from under the couch, and stayed out! That was over an hour ago, and she's still out, sitting on one of the steps.

She was mostly interested in sniffing Spook (though she hissed at him when he tried to sniff her). But she was out, relaxed enough to lie down and look cute, and if something scared her, she only retreated for a moment or two.

In her opinion, the birds outside are very interesting :)

Part of today's success may have come from her being jealous of happy Spook, who wanted endless scritches and cuddles and was extremely vocal about it. (I thought Naku might be purring, but Spook's purr was too loud for me to hear her.)
