Brief entry because I dont want to hog this free terminal, also because the french keyboard is different. which is also why I am not replying to any email or LJ posts right now.
We have been enjoying ourselves in Paris. Where we are staying -- St. Germain -- is posh, sort of like Newbury Street in Boston. Paris is very clean compared to Boston. Walking around outdoors is better than the museums, which are way too crowded. But the Jewish museum was good. I have to tell Ben a lot that I do NOT want to go to all the tourist attractions.
French women in general are good eye candy, though often built like clotheshangers -- wide shoulders, long bones, no breasts, no hips. I think they stay thin by walking a lot... or not eating the good food??? No one here looks like me except the occasional tourist. Lots of babies with moms in their 30s.
There is a lot more PDA here than in the US. It is nice to see people kissing a lot. By standqrds here, elboids are pretty tame in this regard.
We overselpt today -- woke up at 1 pm. Todqy we are mostly shopping and tomorrow we leave for LeMans.

Date: 2005-06-13 06:39 pm (UTC)Only the French would take the already lousy QWERTY keyboard and make it even more unusable by switching the Q and the A. I know French uses Q more than does English, but I'm pretty sure they don't use it more than A.

Date: 2005-06-21 03:55 pm (UTC)until the food at leMans (which was the French version of "state fair food") and the simply awful buffets at the hotel we stayed at the night before we returned, I didn't once eat something not-wonderful in France.
I don't weigh myself, but I think I may have lost weight, even on 2 desserts a day!
But a lot of Parisian women *do* smoke, and outside of Paris there were more heavy women.
