This was just someone running to beat the train, which is what usually causes these accidents in Boston and surrounding areas. A few years ago, though, some poor soul said his final "fuck off!" to the world by jumping in front of a Red Line subway at South Station during rush hour. I was working at Sandstorm at the time, and could look out the window to the Park Street stop, where there were thousands of stranded commuters filling the sidewalks and in fact all of Tremont Street.
