I am a small round shy woman with reddish hair and blue eyes... geeky and smart and intellectually inclined. I read the newspaper every day, and as many books as I can get my hands on. I have a Ph.D. in psychology and used to be a professor, but that was a disaster. I now work as a statistician at Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston.

In 2006, after a 25 year break, I got back into horseback riding, and in 2008 I bought my first horse, a Morgan mare named Mythic Feronia. It's been quite an adventure!

I have a wonderful husband as of 6/2/2002, and a lot of friends for someone who's as shy as I am. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and have a younger brother who is married and has 2 adorable kids... my dad is alive, but my mom died in 2000.

I have diabetes (Type 1, diagnosed when I was 11), chronic dysthymia (mild depression), and arthritis in my shoulders. But I manage a pretty nice life regardless.
