I just got word via my dog list that an entire Champion Whippet breeder/shower lost all their dogs, and cats too, in the fire.
At least 4-5 show dogs, and 4-5 cats. The owner got out alive, I think he was away at the time on a photography gig (he's a professional dog show photographer). Lost his house too.

My brain keeps picturing these poor animals burning to death. It's pitiful.
