Now 99% sure I am going to the show. [livejournal.com profile] goddessfarmer may not know it yet, but she gets to be my "coach" for the next 3 weeks, so we can actually do the test without screwing up. And I am saying a prayer to the God of Horseshoes that silly Minnie actually keeps her shoes on her feet.

Just think of all the fun you'll have learning to groom Minnie for the show. (He says, thinking of Pace's Mohawk style bridle path. Gotta get the clippers out.)

Well, Minnie has a beautiful summer coat; she is very shiny these days. She's had a slight adjustment in diet and might be putting on a little weight, which she really needs. And she's bay with no white markings except for a star, so she doesn't show much dirt.

Her mane, though, will be an issue. She has a very long mane for a TB, about 10 inches at the longest part, and it falls equally on both sides of her neck. *I* think it's beautiful, but it's certainly not the dressage standard! I wouldn't want to clip it though, because it provides protection from flies, and she is very sensitive to fly bites. I could see doing a 2 inch bridle path, just for neatness.
